Chimney Potts are chimney sweeps, window cleaners, and gutter cleaners in the Skipton area. We are a family-run business founded by husband-and-wife team Josh and Debbie.
Our goal is to provide high-quality, reliable services that maintain the beauty, safety, and cleanliness of your home or property. With a rich history rooted in chimney sweeping, we are proud to continue a family tradition that spans three generations, while using modern methods for window cleaning and gutter cleaning.
The journey began in 2019 when Josh started his self-employment under the name JTPotts, offering chimney sweeping and garden maintenance services. In 2020, Debbie joined the business, and the duo renamed the company Potts & Pottsette, reflecting their growing partnership. However, in 2022, they rebranded to Chimney Potts to simplify the name and highlight the family’s longstanding expertise in chimney sweeping—a skill passed down from Josh’s grandfather to his father and finally to Josh. As a third-generation chimney sweep, Josh carries on the family legacy, offering top-notch chimney services while adding new dimensions to the business, such as garden maintenance and window cleaning.
Debbie’s involvement brought a new layer of expertise to the business, with a focus on window cleaning, making Chimney Potts a well-rounded service provider. Recently, we have started offering gutter cleaning, rounding out Chimney Potts' services even further. Together, we are dedicated to maintaining homes and properties with a personal touch, where every job benefits from our combined experience and attention to detail.
