What happens during a sweep?

Here is what happens when you get your chimney swept with us!
First, we'll inspect your chimney and check for blockages such as bird nests, or structural damage to the chimney. This is so that we know how best to proceed, keeping your home safe, and your fireplace in full working order!

After this, we'll begin sweeping the chimney. We cover your fireplace and place drop cloths to make sure your home remains neat and tidy while we work, so you don't have to worry about cleaning up afterwards. After we remove buildup or blockages, we'll remove soot and debris with a high-powered vaccuum to get rid of it all!

After this, we'll clean and tidy up, leaving you with a tidy and clean room, and a safe home!

Both us and HETAS, the official body for heating appliances recommend at least once a year. If you are burning coal regularly, it is recommended to sweep the chimney quarterly when in use. However, if you use it more often, or feel there may be something wrong with the chimney, don't hesitate to get in contact with us.
